Tottenham HotspurMatthew Craig and George Abbott have received commemorative encased footballs from the Premier League to mark their debuts in the competition.
The young midfield duo both made their first senior competitive appearances for us in the 4-1 win at Leeds United on the final day of last season.
Matthew replaced Yves Bissouma with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining while George came on in stoppage time in place of Oliver Skipp.
The pair became the latest players from our Academy to appear for our first team in the Premier League and, as has been the case for several youngsters in recent years, they have now received special mementos to mark the occasion.
Matthew has continued to make an impact in our Under-21 side this season while George marked his return to action following an injury in Monday’s 2-0 victory at Stoke City in the Premier League 2, which continued our 100 per cent start to the season at that level.
