It’s the opening weekend of the 2023/24 Women’s Super League season and we’ve a cracking London derby to start as we make the trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea (kick-off 5.30pm UK).

Today’s match will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports, kick-off 5.30pm.

What is the team news?

Amy Turner is available for selection after a pre-season injury but captain Bethany England misses out on facing her former club after hip surgery.

New loan signing Zhang Linyan is away at the Asian Games while long-term absentees Ellie Brazil and Ramona Petzelberger are not yet ready to play.

Chelsea should name new captain Millie Bright in their starting line-up while Fran Kirby is also expected to feature for the hosts after missing the majority of the 2022/23 season.

Who is the referee?

Thomas Kirk takes charge of today’s match, assisted by Ceri Williams and Magdalena Golba.

Lisa Benn serves as the fourth official.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

Chelsea will line up in their familiar home strip of royal blue shirts and shorts, complete with white socks.

Their goalkeeper will wear dark green.

We’ll be wearing Lilywhite shirts and navy shorts, but with alternate navy socks for this game to avoid a colour clash.
