A trip to SE25 to face Palace is next up in the second of three London derbies in 14 days in the Premier League on Friday night (8pm) - here's a closer look at the men from Selhurst Park...
Form
Palace sit 11th in the Premier League and their form has been a bit up and down. They've lost the creative services of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise to injury, on top of the departure of Wilfried Zaha to Galatasaray, so maybe it's no surprise that they've scored just once in their last four. However, they kept three clean sheets and beat United 1-0 at Old Trafford before losing 4-0 at Newcastle United last time out.
Players to watch
Much of the attacking responsibility has been with Odsonne Edouard in the absence of Eze and Olise and he's responded with four goals so far. Jefferson Lerma, Matheus Franca, Dean Henderson and Rob Holding all came through the door in the summer, although Henderson has joined Eze and Olise on the sidelines. Palace's central defensive partnership of Denmark international Joachim Andersen and England international Marc Guehi is as impressive as ever, however, and recently kept three clean sheets on the spin - Andersen capping that blank at Old Trafford with the winner against United.
Manager - Roy Hodgson
No introductions required here - former England boss Hodgson is still going strong at the age of 76, having been brought back in by Palace at the end of last season and, typically, overseeing a 1-0 win on his return against Leicester City on 1 April, ending a run of 13 without a win. Palace ended 12th. What a managerial career! Hodgson's first job was at Halmstads BK in Sweden and he's had spells, amongst others, at Bristol City, Malmo, Inter, Blackburn, Grasshoppers, Udinese, Fulham, Liverpool, West Brom, Palace, twice and Watford, as well as the Switzerland, Finland and, of course, England national teams. He was named LMA Manager of the Year in 2010 after leading Fulham to the Europa League Final.
Last time we met
A hard-earned 1-0 win on 6 May, and another milestone goal for Harry Kane, who moved up to second in the Premier League's all-time goalscoring list with number 209, climbing ahead of Wayne Rooney. Kane headed home Pedro Porro's fine cross in added time in the first half to secure a victory that would lift us up to sixth at the time, albeit having played more matches than Brighton and Villa, who would eventually overtake us.
