Luton vs Spurs | How to watch, team news, kit colours, key information
Fri 06 October 2023, 18:12|
Tottenham Hotspur
We’re set for our first meeting with Luton Town in the Premier League – and our first competitive match at senior level with them since we last met in the old First Division in 1992 – on Saturday (12.30pm UK).
The Hatters are in need of the points to clamber away from the lower reaches of the table, while we know that victory at Kenilworth Road would see us go top, at least until Manchester City visit Arsenal on Sunday.
Here’s all you need to know ahead of our last game before the October international break...
How can I watch the game?
Saturday’s match will be televised live in the UK on TNT Sports 1, kick-off 12.30pm.
Radio commentary will be available on talkSPORT, with broadcast information for fans following us from overseas available here.
Remember, you can also follow all the action via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where you’ll find live text updates and audio commentary, images, stats and so much more.
Video highlights will be available on SPURSPLAY from two hours after the game, with a full match replay available from midnight on the same platform.
What is the team news?
Brennan Johnson remains sidelined for this weekend’s game while Manor Solomon has now joined Ivan Perisic on the long-term absentee list after surgery this week.
Heung-Min Son should feature after coming off early against Liverpool last weekend while Bryan Gil and Giovani Lo Celso are back in training and could be involved.
Rodrigo Bentancur and Ryan Sessegnon, however, remain out.
Hatters’ midfielder Ross Barkley is back in the frame after a hamstring issue.
However, the hosts will be without Amari’i Bell who was forced off against Burnley on Tuesday night, also with a hamstring injury.
Who is the referee?
Saturday’s man in the middle is John Brooks.
He’ll be assisted by Neil Davies and Steve Meredith, with Graham Scott as the fourth official.
Michael Oliver will be on VAR duties, assisted by Gary Beswick.
What colours will the teams be playing in?
Luton will wear orange shirts with a vertical white stripe running down one side, complete with black shorts and orange socks.
Their goalkeeper will wear green.
We’ll be using our taupe haze third kit, with our goalkeeper in light blue.
What will the weather conditions be like?
It’s due to be a bright, sunny day in Luton on Saturday, with temperatures at around 20 degrees at the start of the game.
