Alfie Devine and Dane Scarlett have been called up to England's Elite League squad for a new international youth competition.

Formerly known as the Men's Under-20s, the pair will join up with interim Head Coach Joe Edwards' side ahead of a double-header to begin the inaugural Euro Elite League campaign with a trip to Romania on Thursday 12 October (5pm UK) before returning home to face Portugal at Stadium MK five days later (17 October, 7pm UK).

Out on loan at Championship side Ipswich Town this term, Dane has made four league appearances for the Tractor Boys and earned his first cap at England Under-21 level coming off the bench in a 3-0 win over Liechtenstein in their 2025 Under-21 EURO qualifier back in September.

Alfie, who is on loan at League One side Port Vale, has made an impressive start at the Valiants including an assist for the winning goal to see them progress through to the Carabao Cup fourth round for the second time in their history and has been a regular for the Young Lions in recent seasons.

The Men's Euro Elite League will see England in action against Romania, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Czechia and Netherlands over the course of the season.
