Devine named Carabao Cup Player of the Round

Alfie Devine has been voted the Carabao Cup's Player of the Round for Round Four.
Having scored the match-winning goal which saw his loan side, Port Vale, defeat Mansfield 1-0 and secure a spot in the competition's quarter-final for the first time in their history, Alfie scooped the Player of the Round award following a vote on the Carabao Cup's Official X feed.
Coming on 31 October at the One Call Stadium, the midfielder produced the historic moment in the tie's 50th minute. Picking up the ball in his own half, he was allowed to maraud into the Stags' half before unleashing a strike from 30 yards which curled into the far right-hand corner of the net.
Such was the quality of the strike, it was also voted the Goal of the Round.
