Another game, another milestone - or three, in this case - and Harry Kane’s mantra is, generally, ‘onto the next one’. But, on this occasion, there was time for a slight reflection.
Harry’s winner against Crystal Palace on Saturday was his 100th at home in the Premier League, making him the first player to score 100 home and away in the competition. It was also his 10th headed goal of the season, the first player to reach double figures in a Premier League campaign.
Most notably for Harry, however, was that his header from Pedro Porro’s cross in first half added time moved him onto 209 in the Premier League, and therefore ahead of Wayne Rooney’s 208 and into second place all-time, behind Alan Shearer’s 260.

“These (milestones) are great, special achievements that are hard to think about during the season, but to go second in the all-time list above Wayne is something I’m extremely proud of,” he told SPURSPLAY.
He later told the BBC: “To go ahead of someone like Wayne, world-class, one of the best players the country has ever seen, to go ahead of him is a special feeling.”
What a season for the Academy graduate... he’s overtaken Jimmy Greaves (266) to become the Club’s all-time leading goalscorer, now with 276 and moved ahead of Rooney (53) to become England’s all-time record goalscorer, now with 55 in his 82 caps.
“I like to try and improve every season, so to get the headed goal one as well, finding ways to score in different ways is important,” he added. “I’ve just got to keep working, keep improving and keep scoring goals.”
