Troy Parrott earned his 17th cap as the Republic of Ireland secured a much-needed win against Gibraltar in UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying on Monday evening.

The striker, 21, came off the bench just before the hour in Dublin, and just after the Republic opened the scoring through fellow substitute Mikey Johnston. Evan Ferguson and Adam Idah completed the Republic's first win in Group B, and they now face a key matches in September in France and at home to Holland.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg picked up his 67th cap as Denmark drew 1-1 against Slovenia in Group H. It's a tight group with Finland top alongside Kazakhstan on nine points, followed by Denmark and Slovenia on seven.

Joe Rodon started and completed the 90 minutes as Wales suffered a 2-0 loss against Turkey in Samsun. Joe Morrell was sent off in the first half and Wales were eventually undone by goals from Umut Nayir on 72 minutes and Arda Guler eight minutes later. Wales are fourth of five in Group D, having played more games than Armenia and Croatia in second and third. It was Joe's 37th cap. Ben Davies didn't travel.

Away from Euro 2024 qualifying, Cristian Romero started for Argentina and headed home La Albiceleste's second goal in a 2-0 friendly win against Indonesia in Jakarta on Monday afternoon. Leandro Parades hammered home the opener on 38 minutes before Cuti powered home a header from Gio Lo Celso's corner on 55 minutes, his second goal in 22 caps. Both Cuti and Gio (44 caps) completed the 90 minutes.
