Legends set for Maidstone return

The Spurs Legends team will be in action for the third consecutive weekend when they take on a charity side at Maidstone United FC on Sunday (9 July).

Kick-off at the Gallagher Stadium in Kent – where the Legends have played several times in recent years – will be at 2pm, with tickets available on the day.

The team of ex-Spurs professionals enter the game off the back of a 10-0 win over our Yorkshire Spurs Supporters’ Club last Sunday at Tadcaster Albion AFC. Paul McVeigh scored a hat-trick, with David Howells and Pascal Chimbonda also among the scorers.

The previous Sunday (25 June), the team ran out 4-2 winners over the North West Spurs Supporters’ Club at Hyde United FC in Greater Manchester, having previously suffered a 6-3 loss to Houghton & Wyton Vets at St Ives Town FC in Cambridgeshire on 4 June.
