Palace v Spurs – how to watch, team news, kit colours, key information
Tue 03 January 2023, 23:00|
Tottenham Hotspur
A busy week of action continues on Wednesday evening with a trip to Crystal Palace (kick-off 8pm UK).
For us, it’s a quick chance to bounce back following the disappointing home defeat to Aston Villa on New Year’s Day, while Palace will be looking to build on their 2-0 win at AFC Bournemouth on the last day of 2022.
Curiously, we didn’t play Palace at all in the last calendar year due to the way both our fixtures against them fell in the first part of the 2021/22 campaign.
As we look to secure our first win at Selhurst Park since November, 2018, here’s everything you need to know about the game...
How can I watch the game?
Wednesday night’s match will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, kick-off 8pm.
Live radio commentary can be found on BBC Radio 5 Live, while you can also follow all the action via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where you’ll find minute-by-minute text and audio commentary, goal alerts, stats and much more.
Worldwide broadcast listings are available here.
Video highlights will be available from two hours after the game on SPURSPLAY.
What is the team news?
Antonio Conte has a decision to make in central midfield with Yves Bissouma ruled out of our clash with Palace through suspension after accumulating five yellow cards, while Rodrigo Bentancur remains sidelined.
Richarlison is also still out injured, although Dejan Kulusevski is rated as 50-50 after missing the New Year’s Day defeat to Villa with a muscle problem picked up in training the day before.
It remains to be seen if Lucas Moura is ready to return, having missed our last two games since the Premier League’s post-World Cup resumption.
Tyrick Mitchell is suspended for Palace while Nathan Ferguson, Sam Johnstone and James McArthur are out injured. James Tomkins is back from a ban.
What colours will the teams be playing in?
Palace will wear their usual red and blue striped shirts, complete with blue shorts and blue socks, with their goalkeeper in green.
We will play in our home kit – Lilywhite shirts, navy blue shorts and white socks – with our keeper in yellow.
Who is the referee?
Michael Oliver will referee Wednesday’s game at Selhurst Park.
He’ll be assisted by Stuart Burt and Scott Ledger, with Graham Scott as the fourth official.
VAR will be looked after by Mike Dean and assistant Gary Beswick.
What will the weather conditions be like?
It’s forecast to be cloudy in south London on Wednesday evening, although it should stay dry. There’ll be a moderate breeze, with temperatures expected to be at around 11 degrees.
