Vicario named your Player of the Match following Toffees display

Guglielmo Vicario has been named our supporters' HSBC Player of the Match after his goalkeeping heroics in our 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday.

Claiming his second Player of the Match award of the season, 'Vic' claimed 55 per cent of the vote in an exclusive poll on our official app straight after the game.

Ange's praise for Vic

After dominating the early exchanges between the two sides as we raced into a 2-0 lead in our Premier League clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium thanks to strikes from Richarlison and Heung-Min Son, Everton responded impressively which saw our number 13 called into action a number of occasions.

As the Toffees came hunting for a way back into the game, which they eventually found with eight minutes to go through Andre Gomes, Guglielmo made seven keys saves including two superb stops to deny former Spurs man Arnaut Danjuma an equaliser in the final stages - the first a sprawling save to his left before his thigh came to our rescue to prevent the Dutchman's close-range shot dropping in over the line off the crossbar.
