Spurs vs Man United (WSL) | How to watch, team news, kit colours, key information

Sun 10 December 2023, 09:52|Tottenham Hotspur

The Women’s Super League is back after the international break and the challenging fixtures continue to come for us.

First up, we host Manchester United today at the Gaughan Group Stadium (Brisbane Road), before going to Arsenal in the Conti Cup in midweek, then a return match with the Gunners in the WSL at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next Saturday (16 December) – secure your tickets for next weekend’s Arsenal home game now.

Meanwhile, here’s a run-down of everything you need to know ahead of this evening’s clash with United (6.45pm UK)...

How can I watch the game?

Today’s match against Manchester United will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports, kick-off 6.45pm.

Tickets are available at the Gaughan Group Stadium for supporters who wish to come and watch the game in person.

You can also keep up to date with minute-by-minute text updates on our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app.

Video highlights of all the action will be available on SPURSPLAY on Monday.

What is the team news?

The big news for us is that captain Bethany England is back available for selection, having missed the whole season so far following a surgical procedure on her hip in the summer.

Midfielders Drew Spence (hamstring), Eveliina Summanen (hamstring), Olga Ahtinen (knee) and Grace Clinton (ineligible) won’t feature, while today’s game also comes too early for striker Ellie Brazil (knee).

Manchester United will be without long-term absentees Emma Watson, Gabby George, Jessica Simpson, Aoife Mannion and Evie Rabjohn.

Midfielder Hinata Miyazawa is doubtful after picking up a problem on international duty but Irene Guerrero could return after a couple of recent injury issues.

Who is the referee?

Today’s referee will be Kirsty Dowle.

She will be assisted by Sophie Dennington and Nicoleta Bria, with Phoebe Cross as the fourth official.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

As usual, we’ll be wearing our home kit, featuring Lilywhite shirts, navy blue shorts and white socks, with our goalkeeper in light blue.

United will wear red shirts, black shorts and black socks, with their keeper in green.

What will the weather conditions be like?

The rain from earlier in the day should have subsided by the time we get underway against United. It’ll be cloudy and breezy, with temperatures at around 10 degrees.
