"It's super!" - Ange on the return of Bentancur

Ange Postecoglou is delighted to have Rodrigo Bentancur back involved.

Having lost the midfielder to injury back in November just four games after he had returned from an eight-month lay off with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury, the midfielder returns to our starting XI for today's clash with Bournemouth.

An ever-influential midfielder, who impressed immediately following his January, 2022, switch from Juventus, 'Lolo' looked as good as ever when he returned to action following that ACL injury back in October. But, after another month out of action, he is back once more he is raring to go again as we look to end the year on a high with the Cherries making the trip to N17.

"It's super," Ange said on the return of the Uruguayan. "He's had a good training week with us and I had a good chat with him yesterday and he was really keen to get back.

"With all the injured lads, they're all a bit frustrated they can't help the team out at the moment so having him back is great, particularly after the short turnaround from the other day. Getting some fresh legs in the midfield with him and Gio (Lo Celso) will help us."
