Three out of three clean sheets as Becky and Drew knock out Brazil

Wed 02 August 2023, 13:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Rebecca Spencer and Drew Spence made Women’s World Cup history on Wednesday as Jamaica advanced to the knockout stages for the first time.

In just their second World Cup, Jamaica produced a committed display to secure a 0-0 draw with Brazil on Wednesday.

Spencer and Spence once again both played 90 minutes as Jamaica made it three clean sheets out of three games to finish second in Group F. Spencer was named the VISA Player of the Match.

Morocco, France and Brazil all failed to score against Jamaica in the group stage, and the Reggae Girlz will face the winner of Group H in Monday’s Round of 16 fixture (9am UK), which could be Colombia, Germany or Morocco.
