Manchester United's visit is always one of the most anticipated home matches of the season and we don't have to wait long for the fixture in 2023/24 as Erik ten Hag's men arrive in N17 on Saturday (5.30pm).

Ange Postecoglou's first home game in charge in the Premier League should be one to savour - here's the rundown on the men from Old Trafford...

Form

It's fair to say United scraped to a 1-0 win in their Premier League opener against Wolves on Monday night. Wolves had the better of it at Old Trafford - including racking up 23 efforts at goal to United's 15 - but United secured the one stat that mattered as Raphael Varane headed home the only goal of the game on 76 minutes to take the three points.

Manager

Erik ten Hag joined United from Ajax in April, 2022 having won two Dutch doubles - the Eredivisie title and KNVB Cup - in 2018/19 and 2020/21 - and a further title in 2021/22. As we all remember, he was also in charge of that exciting Ajax side that we managed to overcome in such thrilling circumstances to reach the final of the Champions League in 2019. He certainly steadied the ship at Old Trafford and in an impressive first season last term, won the League Cup, reached the FA Cup Final and finished third in the Premier League, taking United back into the Champions League.

Players to watch

Mason Mount was United's big summer signing, the England international playmaker leaving Chelsea after 18 years at Stamford Bridge. Goalkeeper Andre Onana arrived through the door from Inter Milan in July. Formerly with Erik ten Hag at Ajax - he played against us in that 2019 UCL semi-final - Onana looks like being a big hit between the sticks at Old Trafford. Striker Rasmus Hojlund joined from Atalanta, but has been sidelined by a back injury. As always, it will be nice to see Christian Eriksen back in N17, while Marcus Rashford remains the dangerman.

Last time we met

What a comeback last season! Trailing 2-0 by half-time to clinical goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 27 April, we clawed our way back into it thanks to Pedro Porro's neat finish on 59 minutes, survived Bruno Fernandes striking the crossbar and levelled with 11 minutes left through Heung-Min Son.
