Thomas Frank described what he's seen from Ange Postecoglou at Spurs as 'exciting', but countered that his side are always 'difficult to handle' at home as we count the hours to our Premier League opener at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday (2pm).
We've put together some impressive performances in pre-season - over 100 efforts at goal in our first three games before beating Ukraine champions Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1 and pushing Barcelona all the way in the Joan Gamper Trophy on Tuesday evening.
At home, at the Gtech, we are difficult to handle. We’ll do everything we can to come flying out and attack with aggression
Frank was at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the Shakhtar Donetsk game, and said: “Tottenham are one of the biggest clubs in the world. They are a very good team with fantastic players. They have appointed an exciting coach in Ange (Postecoglou). What he did at Celtic was very impressive, and what he’s trying to do now at Tottenham looks exciting."
Brentford finished last season like a train, winning five of their last six - including victories against us, Chelsea and Manchester City - to finish ninth in the Premier League. Much of that highest-ever finish in the Premier League was down to Brentford's form at the Gtech - just two defeats (10 wins, seven draws) all season.
Frank added: “It will be a very, very difficult game, but we also know that we are a good team. We believe in ourselves. At home, at the Gtech, we are difficult to handle. We’ll do everything we can to come flying out and attack with aggression.”
