Hugo update from Cristian Stellini at St James' Park

Cristian Stellini has confirmed that Hugo Lloris was withdrawn at half-time at St James’ Park with a ‘muscle problem’.

Our goalkeeper and skipper was replaced by Fraser Forster for the second half with us already trailing 5-0 against Newcastle. The Premier League clash ended 6-1 in the hosts’ favour.

Speaking in his press conference at St James’, Cristian said: “Hugo got injured. He had a muscle problem and couldn’t continue the game. We needed to make a change.”
