What a game in store at Anfield this evening (7.45pm). Can we pick up precious points at the home of the quadruple-chasing Reds? N17 Live presenter Ben Haines and Club commentator Rob Daly have their say ahead of another key Premier League clash...

State of play

Our usual preview starting point in the run-in - how do you see things at the moment with us sitting fifth, two points behind Arsenal, who host Leeds tomorrow, with four matches remaining?

Ben: "Since last weekend, nothing really has changed in terms of the lay of the land. The fact is, it's still in our hands, win the rest of our games we come, at a minimum, fourth. Having said this, I really feel like there are a few things that have changed in terms of the momentum. A big win like the one we had against Leicester does so much for confidence. We made a lot of really good chances and weren't particularly pushed out of our comfort zone other than one shot from Kelechi Iheanacho at the end. We've struggled at Anfield in terms of scorelines, but one thing I feel we've been good at this season on the road since Antonio Conte came in is playing our own way, and looking incredibly dangerous on the counter-attack."

Rob: "Leicester was must-win last weekend and the team delivered. Heung-Min Son looked so sharp, and if Spurs need one player to be in form for the trip to Anfield, it is him. Arsenal are in pole position right now - I didn’t expect them to beat all of Chelsea, Manchester United and West Ham. Given that Spurs' run-in features one of the Champions League finalists (Liverpool, Arsenal, Burnley, Norwich) it’s tougher than the Gunners’ fixtures (Leeds, Spurs, Newcastle, Everton). It means a very stressful few weeks on the horizon... and I can’t even imagine what the north London derby is going to be like!"

Reds alert

Liverpool have won 13 of their last 14 in the Premier League - the 'blip', a draw against title rivals City - as they chase glory on all four fronts - what are you expecting at Anfield?

Ben: "We know the score with Liverpool - they'll have a lot of the ball and they'll be incredibly difficult to break down, but they are susceptible to the counter-attack, and we have one of the best counter-attacks in the league. More brilliant defending from Cuti Romero, Eric Dier and Ben Davies is needed - and an incredibly disciplined midfield shift too. But if we get it right at the back - why can't we go there and do what we did to City?"

Rob: "Liverpool couldn’t be in a much better place. Fresh from the Villarreal win, in the running for four trophies and playing incredible football... but Jurgen Klopp will be more concerned by this game than any other in Liverpool’s league run-in. Their high-defensive line is, on the whole, a trade-off worth making - they catch teams offside so frequently and force the opposition back in their own half. Even when an opposition player does get in behind, Alisson Becker or Virgil van Dijk often shut it down. But the worry will be that Harry Kane and Sonny almost never miss those kind of chances - Son especially. For me, he’s the best one-on-one finisher in the league. Couple that with Kane’s own goalscoring touch, plus his ability to play difficult passes to Son, I wonder if Klopp will be tempted to tinker tactically..."

Kop that!

What is your favourite Anfield moment?

Ben: "I don't need to say too much more on this but... 'WANNNYAAAMMMMAAAA,  OOOOOOooooooOOOoooooooo'. I realise that was Martin Tyler's commentary with Gary Neville when Victor Wanyama smashed home in the 2-2 draw (February, 2018) which feels a little unfair to our Club commentator Rob, but, wow, what a moment. Harry also joined the Premier League's 100-goal club that night, with a little EriK Lamela magic in there too. Sensational!"

Rob: "Yes, the 2-2 Ben mentions was obviously unreal - a Premier League classic. The 1995 FA Cup quarter-final win when Jurgen Klinsmann and Teddy Sheringham were linking up superbly is pretty vivid in my mind. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Erik Edman’s 40-yard belter at The Kop end doing the rounds on social media on Saturday too - goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek was so baffled by that strike he didn’t even move!"
