Dejan: “Everyone can speak, but you have to show on the pitch”

The confidence is high in the group ahead of our opener with Southampton, but Dejan Kulusevski knows that we must make that count by getting a positive result this afternoon.

After an incredible end to 2021/22, which saw us secure a return to the UEFA Champions League, we have enjoyed a positive pre-season campaign while our squad has also been bolstered by some new additions.

However, despite all of the optimism that has naturally come with that, Dejan admits that will count for very little unless we make the perfect start to the campaign today.

“We are confident. Absolutely. I feel very good, and my team-mates also feel very good,” the Sweden international smiled. “We are going to have a fantastic day today hopefully, and enjoy playing, doing what we love.”
