Brentford v Spurs – how to watch, team news, key information

Fri 22 April 2022, 23:40|Tottenham Hotspur

We’re set for our first ever trip to Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 5.30pm UK).

The new home of the Bees, the 17,250-capacity ground has played host to an impressive first Premier League campaign for Thomas Frank’s side, who sit 12th in the table ahead of the weekend’s action.

We’re fourth going into the weekend, with three points looking very important if we’re to continue to push for a Champions League place.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Saturday’s match kicks-off at 5.30pm and will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event.

BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT will be offering live radio commentary, while you can follow all the action as always via our Match Centre here on the website and app, complete with live text and audio commentary, goal alerts and stats.

Alternatively, join our official Watchalong on Twitch with hosts Rebekah and Matt from 4.30pm UK.

If you’re following us from outside the UK, please refer to the overseas broadcast listings to see if the match is being shown in your area.

How will the teams line up?

Matt Doherty and Japhet Tanganga are both out for the season with knee injuries, while Oliver Skipp (groin) remains sidelined.

“We have these three players out, and no further news, which is good news,” said Antonio Conte.

Our popular former midfielder Christian Eriksen is expected to line up against us having joined Brentford in January.

Ethan Pinnock and Mathias Jorgensen will miss the rest of the season for the Bees, while Sergi Canos and Frank Oyenka are also out.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Martin Atkinson will referee Saturday’s match, with Simon Long and Scott Ledger as his assistants.

The fourth official will be Tony Harrington, with Paul Tierney and assistant Simon Bennett in charge of VAR.

Brentford are set to play in red and white striped shirts with black shorts and black socks.

That means we’ll be in our third kit, which is primarily light purple with flashes of green across parts of the shirts.

Brentford’s goalkeeper kit is all blue, with our stopper set to play in green.

What will the weather be like?

It’s set to be bright and sunny at Brentford on Saturday, with temperatures at around 17 degrees.
