Spurs v Vitesse – how to watch, team news, key information

Thu 04 November 2021, 15:15|Tottenham Hotspur

It’s our first match of the Antonio Conte era this evening as we welcome Dutch side Vitesse to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on matchday four in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Following our 1-0 defeat to the same opponents in the Netherlands a fortnight ago, victory tonight will be important for us to get back on track in the group stage – we’re currently third on four points after three games, two points behind Vitesse in second.

Here’s all the key information you need to know ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Tonight’s match will be broadcast live in the UK on BT Sport ESPN, kick-off 8pm UK.

You can also follow all the action live via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app. Log on from 90 minutes before kick-off wherever you are in the world to enjoy live minute-by-minute text updates and audio commentary, along with all the latest live stats and imagery.

Remember to also tune in to N17 Live, our exclusive pre-match show, online and across our social media platforms from 6.45pm UK, featuring a special guest – our former defender Toby Alderweireld, who will be at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to greet our fans following his recent departure from the Club. Alternatively, join us on Twitch for our official Watchalong with hosts Rebekah and Matt from 7pm UK.

How will the teams line up?

Antonio Conte has a number of options as he prepares to select his first starting XI, although Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon both missed the weekend’s defeat to Manchester United through injury.

For Vitesse, their match-winner in our previous match against them, Maximilian Wittek, is out injured while Million Manhoef is sidelined with a knee problem.

Matus Bero returns from a domestic suspension and could feature.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Marco Di Bello of Italy will referee tonight’s match, assisted by Alessandro Costanzo and Matteo Passeri.

The fourth official will be Rosario Abisso.

We’ll be in our traditional all-white European kit, with our goalkeeper in all green.

Vitesse will play in yellow and black striped shirts, with black shorts and black socks. Their keeper will be in orange.

How can I get the matchday programme?

Be sure to pick up the official matchday programme for Antonio Conte’s first game in charge.

In addition to the Head Coach’s exclusive first column, there’s a main feature interview with defender Davinson Sanchez.

The programme will be on sale at the game, priced at the usual £3.50 and available from Tap Inn counters around the stadium, in addition to external pods situated at Paxton House, the South Podium, Park Lane Square and Worcester Avenue.

Supporters not attending the match can order a copy online here, for delivery direct to your door.

What will the weather be like?

It’s forecast to be cloudy but dry during the game, with temperatures at around seven degrees.
