Wycombe away in the FA Cup - fourth and fifth round details

Mon 11 January 2021, 19:41|Tottenham Hotspur

We have been drawn away to Wycombe Wanderers in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

If successful, we will then face a trip to either Everton or Sheffield Wednesday in round five, after the draw for both rounds was made by our former striker Peter Crouch on Monday evening.

Fourth round ties are scheduled to take place over the weekend of 23/24 January, while fifth round matches are pencilled for the midweek dates of 9-11 February.

Further details regarding the scheduling of our fourth round tie at Wycombe will follow in due course...

Currently bottom of the Championship, Wycombe impressively toppled Preston 4-1 in the third round on Saturday. We then beat non-league side Marine 5-0 in Crosby on Sunday.

We have recent history in the FA Cup against Wycombe. Back in 2017, Gareth Ainsworth's men stunned us in the fourth round at the Lane, taking a 2-0 lead and then forging ahead 3-2 in the 83rd minute before Dele and Heung-Min Son turned the tie around in the final minutes for a thrilling 4-3 victory. Wycombe were in League Two then, they've since gained promotion to League One (third in League Two in 2017/18) and then the Championship (promoted via the play-off from League One last season).
