Spurs v Chelsea – how to watch, team news, key information
Wed 03 February 2021, 17:13|
Tottenham Hotspur
Chelsea are the visitors to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday for another high-profile Premier League clash (kick-off 8pm UK).
The Blues recently appointed former Mainz 05, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel as their new Head Coach, replacing Frank Lampard, who was in charge for their previous visit to our stadium in the Carabao Cup in September, where we triumphed in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw.
It won’t be Tuchel’s first visit to N17 – he brought his Borussia Dortmund side to White Hart Lane for a Europa League clash in March, 2016, with the German outfit running out 2-1 winners on the night.
Here’s our usual run-down of all the key information you need to know ahead of our latest London derby...

How will the teams line up?
Serge Aurier looks set to return to our squad after missing Sunday’s trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Jose Mourinho also confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday that he expects Tanguy Ndombele to be available, despite the midfielder being forced off with a knock in the defeat at the Amex.
Harry Kane, Sergio Reguilon, Dele and Giovani Lo Celso are all out injured.
Chelsea could be without defender Kurt Zouma and forward Kai Havertz after both players suffered problems in training on Wednesday.
“We had two little issues today on the training pitch,” Tuchel told the media. “Kurt Zouma and Kai Havertz went off the pitch with little issues. They are checking now, doing images right now, and it’s questionable whether they are in the squad for tomorrow. Everybody else is available.”
Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?
Thursday night’s match referee will be Andre Marriner.
He’ll have Scott Ledger and Simon Long working with him as his assistants, while Andy Madley will be in position as the fourth official.
We’ll be in our usual home kit – white, navy, white – with our goalkeeper in orange.
Chelsea will be in all royal blue, with their keeper in green.
How can I get the matchday programme?
As is the case for all our home games that are played behind closed doors, printed copies of our ever-popular official matchday programme are available to order and have delivered direct to your home.
Although the deadline to order your copy of the Chelsea edition and have it in your hands in time for kick-off has now passed, you can still order yours online for delivery as soon as possible.
Moussa Sissoko gives an exclusive interview inside Thursday night’s edition – priced at the usual £3.50, you can order your copy now.
What will the weather be like?
Rain is forecast for much of Thursday afternoon and into the evening in our local area. Temperatures are expected to be around eight degrees at kick-off time.
