Shelina Zadorsky and Canada picked up the first victory of their SheBelieves Cup campaign against Argentina on Sunday night in Orlando, Florida.
Making her 68th appearance for her country, Shelina kept a clean sheet and played the full 90 minutes for the second consecutive match.
Argentina, ranked 31 in the world, proved stubborn opposition for Bev Priestman’s side, who found clear-cut chances hard to come by despite dominating possession.
The breakthrough finally came in stoppage time when Janine Beckie’s free-kick caused a goalmouth scramble and substitute Sarah Stratigakis slotted home.
Canada take on Brazil in their final game of the tournament on Wednesday, 9pm kick-off.
