Spurs v Paços de Ferreira – how to watch, team news, key information

Thu 26 August 2021, 12:10|Tottenham Hotspur

We’ll be seeking to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit when we host Paços de Ferreira at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the second match of our UEFA Europa Conference League play-off tonight (Thursday 26 August, 7.45pm UK).

Having suffered a narrow reverse in Portugal last week, we’ll need to recover if we’re to reach the group stage of the inaugural competition.

With the away goals rule no longer in force, extra time and penalties will come into play if the aggregate scores are level after 90 minutes in a bid to establish the winners.

Here’s all the key information you need to know ahead of the match...

Tickets are still available for tonight’s fixture – get yours here.

For those not attending in person, the match will be shown live in the UK on Premier Sports 2, kick-off 7.45pm.

How will the teams line up?

Centre-back Cristian Romero is available for selection after missing the 1-0 win at Wolves at the weekend with a slight issue picked up in the first leg.

Harry Kane is also an ‘option’ according to boss Nuno Espirito Santo, although defenders Joe Rodon and Cameron Carter-Vickers remain out.

Wide players Helder Ferreira and Lucas Silva could return for the visitors after missing their 3-1 home defeat to Estoril on Monday.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Tonight's match officials are all from France – Ruddy Buquet is the man in the middle, with Guillaume Debart and Frédéric Haquette as the assistant referees and Amaury Delerue as the fourth official.

As in the first leg last week, we shall be utilising kit from our Premier League stock at this stage of the competition and as such we will play in Lilywhite shirts, navy blue shorts and Lilywhite socks tonight. We shall change to our traditional all-white European strip should we progress to the group stage. Our goalkeeper will wear all orange.

The visitors will be in yellow shirts, green shorts and yellow socks, with their keeper in all light blue.

What about the matchday programme?

Our official matchday programme will once again be on sale at the game, priced at the usual £3.50. It’s available from Tap Inn counters around the stadium and external pods situated at Paxton House, the South Podium, Park Lane Square and Worcester Avenue.

Those supporters not attending the match can order a copy online here, for delivery direct to your door.

Tonight’s issue includes a main feature interview with Eric Dier.

What will the weather be like?

The weather is due to stay dry in north London, but it’ll be cloudy with temperatures around 16 degrees at kick-off.
