Information for fans attending the Carabao Cup Final

Sat 24 April 2021, 10:15|Tottenham Hotspur

Welcome back to our supporters! Here is some information for fans attending the Carabao Cup Final against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. A reminder that kick-off is 4.30pm.

This event will form part of the UK Government’s Events Research Programme (ERP), used to provide key scientific data and research into how small and large-scale events could be permitted to safely reopen in line with the Prime Minister’s Roadmap out of lockdown as part of Step 4, commencing no earlier than 21 June. If you would like to learn more about the ERP, you may do so via the official Government website.

Wembley's Code of Conduct is available online and we would ask all match ticket purchasers to agree to the terms stated. By attending an event at Wembley Stadium, you are agreeing to comply with this Code of Conduct.

Health and safety measures in place will mean that your matchday experience will be somewhat different to what you would have been used to pre-COVID 19.

We therefore advise fans to carefully read the following guide and familiarise yourself with the details ahead of your visit to Wembley Stadium.

Lateral flow test - complete before arrival

Entry to Wembley Stadium is dependent on providing proof (SMS text message or email) of a negative lateral flow test result. You will be asked to provide your test result at an outer cordon, before reaching the turnstiles. If you have a personal assistant, they will also be required to present their result.

This test must take place within the 24 hour period from 1.30pm on Saturday 24 April onwards, including on the Sunday morning, and must be carried out at a rapid lateral flow test site. Lateral flow tests taken at home will not be accepted.

Haringey Council has laid on extra testing capacity at the Tottenham Community Sports Centre, 701-703 High Road Tottenham, N17 8AD (opposite the Stadium) this Saturday and Sunday, open from 3pm-10pm on 24 April and from 8am-3pm on 25 April. This testing centre is operating on a walk-in basis – no appointment needed.

If you receive a positive test result, you will not be permitted to attend the game but should contact us on email here - ticket.office@tottenhamhotspur.com - as soon as possible (providing evidence of your positive result) to enquire about a refund.

Supporters are also requested to undertake a PCR COVID-19 home test prior to the event and again five days after the event. You can order a home test kit using the Government website.

Your ticket - important info

Print your ticket

All fans have been issued print-at-home tickets via an email from noreply@tottenhamhotspur.com.

You should ensure that your ticket is printed ahead of time and brought with you to the stadium. If you have a personal assistant, their ticket should also be printed.

Print-at-home tickets presented on phones will not work, and stadium access cards will not be in operation.

Entering the stadium, ID checks and new lifts

Entry to the stadium is via Entrance F and you will need to scan your printed ticket at the turnstiles to gain access.

ID checks may be carried out at the stadium entrance so please ensure that you bring a form of photo ID with you.

Please note that the pedestrian bridge to the stadium on Olympic Way has now been replaced with a set of 48 steps. Supporters unable to use the steps should continue at street level on Olympic Way, to the Club Wembley entrance located on Level B2 (street level). The lifts are located on either side of the entrance.

On-the-day enquiries

The East Ticket Office will be open from 1pm should you have any ticketing enquiries on the day.

Face coverings

Please ensure that you wear a face covering at all times, even when seated in the stadium bowl.

There are a limited set of circumstances where a face covering may not be required. Wembley Stadium will be led by government guidance on when and if this is appropriate in each individual case.

If you believe that this applies to you, please contact Wembley directly to discuss this further.

Wembley Stadium bag policy

All ticket holders are prohibited from bringing any bag into the stadium unless it adheres to Wembley Stadium regulations.

Supporters needing to store a bag that does not meet the policy's criteria can use a bag drop facility in the Yellow Car Park, which is located just off Olympic Way (HA9 0EG). The bag drop costs £10.

Exceptions can be made for supporters with medical requirements but you must get permission in advance by contacting Wembley. On their contact form, select 'Other', 'Disability Access', then 'Medical Exemption Certificate'.

Getting there

Please read our travel guide ahead of attending, which includes information for those travelling to the stadium by public transport, car and bicycle.

When travelling to and from the stadium, please follow all guidance and rules in respect of the use of public transport, details of which can be found here.

Access facilities

A Changing Places toilet is located in Block 104 and can be accessed via a RADAR key.

If you have requested an Audio Descriptive Commentary headset or induction loop, it can be collected at the information point inside Turnstile G and opposite Block 108.

Parking

Parking, including for Blue Badge Holders, cars, coaches and motorbikes, is available on a first come, first served basis and should be purchased in advance.

Blue Badge Parking is available in the Yellow Car Park (HA9 0EG). When departing from the car park, use Engineers Way to reach Olympic Way and the stadium.

Additional car parking is available in the Red Multi Storey Car Park (HA9 8DS).

Food and drink

Food and beverage kiosks will be open throughout the concourses. Owing to the nature of the pilot test event, not all concourse facilities will be open. However, Wembley Stadium will still cater for all dietary requirements. If you have a specific question or query, please speak to a member of staff.

In addition to food and soft drinks, alcohol (beer and wine only) will be served at a maximum of 4 drinks per person.

Please remember to bring a form of cashless payment with you.

Before you arrive

Please ensure you take note of the following before you leave for the stadium:

- Do not attend if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
- Leave early - Wembley Stadium opens at 3pm and you should aim to arrive one hour before kick-off
- Print your ticket in advance - tickets presented on phones will not be accepted

- Ensure you are familiar with Wembley's list of prohibited items. As part of COVID-19 measures, supporters are not currently permitted to bring their own flags into the stadium

Inside the stadium

Here are some important tips for you and your fellow fans once you're inside the stadium:

- Observe social distancing at all times and in all parts of the stadium, including toilets and concessions.
- Be aware of the movements of others at all times, avoiding face to face contact wherever possible.
- Maintain good hand hygiene and use the sanitiser dispensers provided
- Always cover your mouth if you need to cough or sneeze
- Avoid hugs, high-fives and any close contact with people who are not within your social bubble, and take care when shouting, singing or celebrating
- All payments inside the stadium are cashless; no cash will be taken

Leaving the stadium

General admission areas will close after the final whistle, though fans will be permitted to stay for the trophy ceremony.

When you leave the stadium, please continue to follow social distancing guidelines and keep your face covering on. Avoid gathering in groups of more than six people outside of your household bubble.

It is a legal requirement that, unless exempt, you must wear a face covering on public transport and inside transport hubs, eg. train stations. You could be fined £200 minimum if you do not comply.

Programmes

The Carabao Cup Final's programme is a 68-page spine-bound commemorative publication.

Although programmes will not be sold on the day, supporters wishing to purchase a copy can do so online.

Please note that orders placed online will be delivered after the game.

Report it

All anti-social behaviour is treated seriously and all guests are expected to treat everyone with respect.

As is the case at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, at Wembley Stadium there is a zero tolerance policy on anti-social and discriminatory incidents and those found guilty will be ejected from the stadium and, in some cases, prosecuted.

It is better to deal with discriminatory behaviour as it happens, so if you witness any such behaviour you should report it. You can do so by texting HELP to 66566.

The Club reserves the right to indefinitely ban supporters found guilty of using discriminatory language.

Safeguarding

If you have a safeguarding concern for yourself or someone else, please speak to a steward and who will ensure that a member of the Safeguarding team is contacted.

Emergency Evacuation

In the unlikely event that a stadium evacuation is required, please adhere to the advice given by front line staff and on the public address system.
