Gareth has re-joined us on a one-season loan from Real Madrid. He made his name in his first spell at Spurs, initially signing as a 17-year-old from Southampton in 2007 before tearing up the Premier League and Champions League with 55 goals in 203 appearances until departing to the Bernabeu for a world-record fee in 2013.
He lifted the Champions League four times with Real Madrid - scoring in the 2014 and 2018 finals, his overhead kick against Liverpool one of the all-time great goals - and won a host of trophies including two La Liga titles, two UEFA Super Cups and three FIFA World Club Cups, contributing 105 goals in 251 appearances before returning 'home'.
