Under-18s see off Orient

Spurs Under-18s 4-0 Leyton Orient

Fri 28 August 2020, 14:54|Tottenham Hotspur

Our Under-18s hit four for the second time this week as they breezed past Leyton Orient 4-0 in a pre-season friendly at Hotspur Way on Friday.

Tarrelle Whittaker made it two goals in as many games following his effort in the midweek victory over Stevenage before Kallum Cesay added his name to the scoresheet five minutes before the break.

Under-16s player Jamie Donley stepped off the bench to add a late brace, matching his tally from Tuesday's win to round off the scoring.

In truth, we could have scored more, but it was an encouraging performance from Matt Taylor's side as the start of the new season edges ever closer.

Whittaker got us up and running with a header from Cesay's cross on 27 minutes before Cesay himself made it 2-0 on 40 minutes, finishing off a good team move by finding the bottom corner from the edge of the area.

We remained in control and bagged our third on 82 minutes. Roshaun Mathurin played the ball across and Donley got the first touch before Jordan Hackett headed the ball back to the forward for him to finish on his right foot.

Three minutes later Donley had his second when his free-kick took a deflection and sailed past the Orient goalkeeper.
