Mauricio Pochettino has once again put his trading skills to the test at the annual BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day to help raise money for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, the Club’s Official Charity Partner.

The BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day is held in memory of the 658 people who lost their lives in the World Trade Centre attacks on 11 September 2001. Each year, staff in London and New York commemorate those who died by raising funds for charitable works worldwide.

The Club’s official charity partner since 2016, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is a ‘Hospice at Home’ service providing support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families.

Mauricio joined other well-known faces including Prince Harry, Damien Lewis, Jimmy Carr and Gabby Logan to give a helping hand on the trading floor and speak to clients over the phone. He then met two children, Imran and Rocco, who are both supported by Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

Last year’s BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day raised £75,000 for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice – all of which went towards constructing The Ark – the charity’s new hospice building which is due to open later this month.

Mauricio and Assistant Manager Jesus Perez paid a visit to The Ark site earlier this year to check on progress. Here they met staff from the charity who gave them a tour of the facility and spent time talking to a family who are supported by Noah’s Ark.

Mauricio said: “I am delighted to have supported the BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day once again this year. It’s important that we come together on the anniversary of 9/11 to remember those who lost their lives and raise money for charities such as Noah’s Ark who do fantastic work to support sick children in North London.”
