Fresh from making her first competitive appearance for Spurs in front of nearly 25,000 fans at Stamford Bridge last Sunday, Chloe Peplow declared the experience as “one of the best moments” of her career so far.
The midfielder missed the last two pre-season games against Arsenal and West Ham, after picking up an ankle injury while playing in the final of the Ramon de Carranza Trophy in Spain.
Chloe recovered in the nick of time and was named on the substitutes' bench at Chelsea before she was introduced into the game at half-time.
“I was so happy to be back, and to play against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on a massive occasion was one of the best moments of my career to date,” the England Under-21 international said.
“You dream of experiences like that as a little girl, and to be able to say that I’ve played in front of nearly 25,000 people is something I never thought I would be able to say.”
The former Brighton & Hove Albion player is in contention to make her full competitive debut when we play Liverpool in our historic first game at The Hive on Sunday (15 September).
“Training has been very positive and although we came away with a loss against Chelsea, the mood around camp has been good,” Chloe continued.
“I feel there were a lot of positives to take away from the game and plenty of things we can build on. We have reviewed the game and now we are fully focused on Liverpool. I have had a few encounters with Liverpool while playing with my former teams and I know they are a quality side with some experienced internationals. I’m sure the game will be very challenging, but it’s a challenge we are ready for.”

The midfielder expressed her delight at the support we received during our debut fixture in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League (WSL) and hopes to see plenty of supporters at The Hive for our first-ever encounter with the Reds on Sunday.
“The fans were amazing last weekend,” she said. “I think they underestimate how important they are to us and how much of a difference they can make. Hopefully we can get plenty of them down at The Hive on Sunday and for the duration of the season.
“I’m excited for Sunday, it’s a day that will go down in history and it will be another great occasion for the Club.”
