Hannah Godfrey earns first Scotland call-up

Defender Hannah Godfrey has received her first call-up to the Scotland Women’s Senior National Team ahead of their upcoming UEFA Women’s Euro 2021 Qualifier against Albania this Friday (8 November).

Hannah has impressed for us at centre-back since joining the Club in the summer, starting in every game in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League this season and was awarded Player of the Match in our historic win against West Ham at London Stadium.

The 22-year-old joins up with Shelley Kerr’s squad today (4 November) to begin preparations for Friday’s Euro Qualifier at Elbasan Arena, Albania.

In more good news, full-back Lucia Leon has also earned her first call-up to the Spanish Women’s National Under-23 Team and will travel to Las Rozas in Madrid this week for a training camp.

Ria Percival will join up with the New Zealand team who are in action for the first time since the World Cup for a two-match tour in Yongchuan, China. The Football Ferns will play hosts China on Thursday (7 November) before meeting either Brazil or Canada on Sunday (10 November).

Rachel Furness is in the Northern Ireland squad for their Euro 2021 qualifier matches against Norway in Stavanger on Friday (8 November), before they play Wales at Seaview Stadium in Belfast on Tuesday 12 November.  

Anna Filbey, Josie Green and Megan Wynne have once again been named in the Wales squad to face Northern Ireland in their fourth match of the Euro 2021 qualification campaign. ​
