June international fixtures for our players

With Club duties at an end for another season, attentions for many of our players now switch to international action, with the Copa America, UEFA Nations League and Africa Cup of Nations finals topping the bill.

Club team-mates Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez could go head-to-head when Argentina take on Colombia in the opening round of matches in Copa America Group B in Brazil on 15 June, while four of our players - Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Harry Kane and Danny Rose - have made the final cut for the 23-man England squad bidding to lift the inaugural Nations League title in Portugal later this week. Victor Wanyama and Serge Aurier, meanwhile, are set for action with Kenya and Ivory Coast respectively at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

A handful of our Academy players have been on youth international duty with England in recent weeks. Defender Malachi Walcott played in two of England Under-17s’ three matches as they narrowly missed out on qualification from the group stage at the European Under-17 Championship, while Luis Binks, J’Neil Bennett and Harvey White all featured as England Under-18s reached the final of the Slovakia Cup, only to suffer a penalty shootout defeat to Spain. Winger J’Neil scored in a 2-2 draw with Slovakia on 21 May while defender Luis was on target in a 2-0 win over Mexico two days later. Midfielder Harvey scored his penalty in the shootout against Spain after a 1-1 draw, but the Young Lions lost 3-2.
