Tour 2019 - training in the rain in Shanghai

After a week of sunshine, the players were soaked as the heavens opened in Shanghai during training on Wednesday morning local time.

This was our open training session and fans were out in force at the Yuanshen Stadium to watch the players really put through their paces. After the usual pre-activation exercises, the players were straight into a football circuit with multiple stations. After that, it was a high-intensity game over half a pitch as the rain came down.

That was the final training session of our Asia tour. We take on Manchester United in our second International Champions Cup (ICC) match at Shanghai's Hongkou Stadium on Thursday (12.30pm UK/7.30pm local) before the squad head home.
