We’ll face FC Bayern Munich in the final of the Audi Cup on Wednesday evening after the German side thrashed Fenerbahce 6-1 in their semi-final.
Following immediately on from our 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in the first semi at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday late afternoon local time, the tournament hosts took to the field and immediately set about plotting a path to the final.
They were 5-0 up by half-time with Renato Sanches, Leon Goretzka, Thomas Müller – twice – and Kingsley Coman on target, with Müller subsequently completing his hat-trick in the second period. Max Kruse netted a consolation goal for Fenerbahce.
Real will now face Fenerbahce in the third place play-off before we meet Bayern in the final, kick-off 8.30pm local time (7.30pm UK).
