At Saturday’s fixture against West Ham, Tottenham Hotspur will be celebrating its Official Charity Partnership with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
The Club’s official charity partner since 2016, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is a ‘Hospice at Home’ service providing support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families.
There are more than 1,200 children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in the charity’s catchment area, but currently no children’s hospice building. Through the #BuildingTheArk campaign, Noah’s Ark is raising funds to construct The Ark – a children’s hospice building for North and Central London and Hertsmere.
The Ark is being built on a 7.5 acre nature reserve and will provide a relaxing space for children and their families to connect with others facing similar challenges. The Ark will offer a range of children’s palliative care services including a sensory room, sensory garden, drop-in facility for families to come and meet, overnight stays for children and families and after death care.
Our partnership with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice sees the Club help raise awareness of the work of the charity and drive the recruitment of volunteers via high profile events and the support of the first team players.
This season, Dele Alli paid a surprise visit to Mark, a young boy supported by Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, at his school, Mauricio Pochettino put his trading skills to the test at the annual BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day which raised £75,000 for The Ark, Michel Vorm joined children from Highgate School in a sponsored walk, Kyle Walker-Peters attended the charity’s annual sports day, and Club Ambassador Ledley King gave the starters’ orders at their ‘Rainbow Run’.
At the West Ham game, our players will warm-up in special edition t-shirts and the much-loved Chirpy and Lily will be joined on the pitch by Noah’s Ark mascots, Henry and Harriet. Volunteers will be situated around the stadium campus with contactless donation boxes should fans wish to donate to this worthy cause.
