Club mascot Chirpy was in China during Mid-Autumn Festival recently to engage in a series of traditional and local activities.

The activities took place in partnership with the club’s Global Principal Partner, AIA.

During the visit, Chirpy participated in the preparation and distribution of Spurs-themed mooncakes, the snack traditionally eaten on Mid-Autumn Day. Four unique-style mooncakes were produced, each with special designs linking to the club’s star players.

Chirpy also helped out in a well-known mooncake kitchen while introducing fans to the process of making and baking mooncakes. This was in addition to a trip to a local school, playing traditional Chinese games with pupils and handing out mooncakes.

Chirpy’s China mooncake journey was documented across the club’s Chinese social platforms, including Weibo and WeChat.

We have been ever-present and active during traditional Chinese festivals, a time when families come together and celebrate. Earlier this year, the club celebrated Chinese New Year by having its players wear Chinese ‘Year of the Dog’ warm-up t-shirts and lit up the front of the world-famous Wembley Stadium in Chinese writing, wishing fans a 'Happy Chinese New Year.'
