Club supports Football People Action Weeks

Wed 24 October 2018, 10:09|Tottenham Hotspur

This month, the Club is supporting Fare Network’s Football People Action Weeks, UEFA’s anti-discrimination campaign, as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting equality and inclusion.

Taking place from 11-25 October, the Football People Action Weeks aim to unite supporters, clubs and communities across Europe to raise awareness of all forms of discrimination within the game and bring about positive change.

On UEFA Matchday Three, including our match against PSV Eindhoven tonight, #EqualGame branding will be on display ahead of all UEFA men’s and women’s Champions League and Europa League fixtures to help raise awareness of the campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur has a zero-tolerance policy on all types of discrimination and works closely with Kick It Out, English football’s leading equality and inclusion organisation, to encourage inclusive practices on matchdays and within our community.

Through its Foundation, the Club runs a number of projects throughout its local community promoting inclusion and equality for all, including sport and employability programmes for people with a range of disabilities, girls’ football programmes, a unique health and wellbeing programme run in partnership with Neasden Temple and educational workshops for local school children.

The Club also works closely with Proud Lilywhites, its official LGBT supporters’ group, to combat issues relating to homophobia within the game and create a safe and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender fans.
