Brazil call for Lucas

Mon 08 October 2018, 16:15|Tottenham Hotspur

Lucas Moura has been added to the Brazil squad for their matches against Saudi Arabia and Argentina over the next fortnight.

The 26-year-old last featured for his national side in June, 2016, but has earned a recall after an impressive start to the season with us, which has seen him score three goals in 11 games in all competitions, including a memorable brace away to Manchester United in August.

In fact, Lucas is the only player to have featured in all of our competitive matches so far this season.

With Brazil training at Hotspur Way this week, as they did before the World Cup in the summer, Lucas will initially find himself on ‘home’ turf before the squad jets off for their match against Saudi Arabia on Friday night.

They will remain in Saudi Arabia for their clash with rivals Argentina next Tuesday, a fixture that could see Lucas come up against Club team-mate Juan Foyth, who has been included in the Argentina squad for the first time.
