Kieran Trippier describes Eric Dier as a ‘top professional.’
The pair are together in the England squad preparing for the World Cup with team-mates Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Danny Rose.
A model of consistency, Eric has played in 99 of our last 105 matches in the Premier League, starting 95.
His form in that time has been rewarded with 26 England caps and he proudly captained the Three Lions in high-profile friendlies against Germany, Brazil and Italy.
Kieran, who played a personal best 35 times for us in 2017-18, is impressed by Eric’s numbers.
“That consistency shows how professional Eric is, especially playing at this level,” said the right-back, 27.
“To play that amount of games you need to look after yourself and I see that every day with Eric. He’s a top professional and of course he’s a quality footballer as well.
“He’s still at such a young age as well and to have captained England already says it all. I’m really happy to have met him and to have played alongside him.”
