Vote Harry and Hugo into UEFA.com Team of the Year

Mon 10 December 2018, 14:49|Tottenham Hotspur

Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane have made the shortlist for the 2018 UEFA.com Fans’ Team of the Year.

The selection of 50 players – made up of five goalkeepers, 15 defenders, 15 midfielders and 15 forwards – was revealed by UEFA today (Monday 10 December) with voting now open.

Hugo made 43 appearances in the league and Champions League last season and capped a fine year by lifting the World Cup with France in the summer.

Harry has continued to set records for us in this calendar year. He overhauled Teddy Sheringham as our top goalscorer in the Premier League era in January and brought up his century of top-flight goals the following month. Harry ended last season with a career-high 41 goals in 48 games for us and was named in the PFA Team of the Year for the fourth consecutive season.

His six goals at the World Cup earned him the Golden Boot while he became our joint-record goalscorer in European competition when notching his 23rd goal with our late winner against PSV Eindhoven on matchday four of the current Champions League campaign.

Gareth Bale is the only Spurs player to have sealed a place in the final UEFA.com Fans’ Team of the Year, the Welshman making the XI in both 2011 and 2013.

Voting runs on UEFA.com until Friday 11 January with the final line-up announced that day.
