The players trained at Melbourne’s AAMI Park at 7pm local time on Monday (10am UK).
The session was open to fans with match tickets for our ICC matches against Juventus or Atletico Madrid and, as always, we were welcomed by an impressive turnout from our Australian supporters, who braved the cold weather to watch their favourites.
It was a light workout ahead of tomorrow night’s opener against Italian champions Juventus, who trained just before us.
After a session of keep-ball, Mauricio Pochettino worked on team shape and then the players took a few penalties – the fans delighted to see Heung-Min Son chip home a ‘Panenka’ penalty (although goalkeeper Luke McGee was less pleased – as our Tweet shows).

After training, the lads took time to sign autographs all around the perimeter of the pitch.
AFL star and Spurs fan Sam Mitchell was at the stadium and OzSpurs were well represented – indeed, OzSpurs president Mark Lawson was joined by three fellow chairmen from official supporters’ clubs – Thomas Lau (Singapore Spurs), Mike Geraghty (Spurs Hong Kong) and Paul Ruscoe (Spurs New Zealand).
Look out for photos in a second story from today's open training to follow soon…
