Teemu Tainio says he copes quite well pounding the miles in pre-season but still smiled: "I hate all this running!"
Pre-season training has kicked-off in earnest at Spurs Lodge and after thorough medical and physical tests on Wednesday, Teemu and the rest of the lads put on their running shoes on Thursday.
The first team and development squads were split into three groups with two groups put through their paces via running drills and the third concentrating on ball skills.
“Pre-season is always hard, it’s good work for us, but physically tough,†said midfielder Teemu after Thursday’s first session.
“On Wednesday we did all our medical and physical tests and this morning the serious running started.
“In terms of fitness usually I’m quite good but I still hate all this running! Bring on the games!â€Â
