Spurs v Swansea - information for fans

15 September 2017|Tottenham Hotspur

Information for fans attending Saturday's Premier League match against Swansea at Wembley Stadium, connected by EE.

Arriving at Wembley
Today's kick-off 5.30pm

- All supporters attending our matches against Swansea City today (5.30pm) and Barnsley in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday (8pm) are advised to arrive as early as possible to avoid any delays in entering the stadium

- Robust security measures will be in place including thorough security searches - please give yourself plenty of time

- Please avoid bringing bags or unnecessary items to Wembley

- Supporters are advised to arrive at least one hour before kick-off - gates open today at 4pm

As all fans who attended matches at White Hart Lane will be aware, increased security procedures have been in place for some time. These thorough searches before supporters enter the stadium will also be implemented at Wembley. Security WILL NOT be reduced or compromised in the event of queues forming to clear security and kick-off will not be delayed as a result of this.

Turnstiles at Wembley will open 90 minutes before kick-off (4pm on Saturday), with executive areas open two hours before kick-off, and we would therefore like to remind our fans to plan their journey for an earlier than normal arrival time so you can clear security in plenty of time before the match starts.

Official Tottenham Hotspur stewards will be on hand in and around the stadium should supporters have any questions concerning any security matters.

Please be aware that Wembley Stadium is a public transport destination.

We would recommend all supporters attending our home games at Wembley Stadium this season visit the official Wembley Stadium website to get more information about travelling to the stadium, or download the Stadium Mobile App which provides a dedicated journey planner and live travel information.

In order to speed up entry into the stadium, we recommend that bags are not brought to the stadium unless absolutely necessary. If a bag is essential it is advisable that it is small and see-through. If bringing a bag is unavoidable then your entry to the stadium will be delayed while your bag is searched so please allow additional time.

Please be aware that Wembley does not have lockers or luggage storage facilities for fans to store items.

Travel information

We would recommend all supporters attending the match visit to get more information about travelling to the stadium, or download the Stadium Mobile App which provides a dedicated journey planner and live travel information.

More information about the various transport hubs can be found below...

As a public transport destination, the Stadium is served by several major transport connections. It is an easy 10-minute walk from Wembley Park station, 12 minutes from Wembley Central station and very close to Wembley Stadium station.

All stations have direct services from Central London and connections beyond.

Wembley Park station
Wembley Park underground station is served by both the Metropolitan and Jubilee Lines. On arrival at Wembley Park, stairs from the ticketing hall will guide you down onto Olympic Way from where the Stadium will be clearly visible. A 10-minute walk will bring you to the front of the stadium.

Wembley Central station
This station has both Underground and Overground services. It is served by the Bakerloo Underground line, London Overground and national rail services, and connects to stations including Euston, Watford Junction and Willesden Junction.

Wembley Stadium station
Wembley Stadium Station is on the Chiltern train line. This line services the Midlands, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. London trains on this line depart from Marylebone station. On arrival at the station, the stadium will be clearly visible. Lifts or stairs will take you from the platforms up onto street level.

We strongly advise against driving to the stadium as there will be no parking available at the stadium or in the surrounding streets.

The limited parking spaces at the stadium are reserved for coaches, disabled visitors and event owners and are all pre-booked.

Brent Council operates a Wembley Stadium Event Day Protective Parking Scheme in all roads within an approximate 1.5 mile radius of the stadium. Operational on major event days only, the scheme is designed to minimise disruption and protect local residents and businesses from illegal parking from visitors to the stadium.

This means any visitors driving to events at Wembley Stadium will NOT be able to park in the surrounding streets. Brent Council has made it clear that illegally parked vehicles will be issued with large parking fines and will also be towed away.

In addition, Metropolitan Police may have security measures on approach roads on major event days which may also hinder a journey by car.

For information and availability on Park & Ride/tube/train opportunities please refer to the stadium's 'Getting to Wembley' page HERE...

Spurs Respects

We are justly proud of our superb and loyal support at home and away. We all have a responsibility to act as ambassadors of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and act as considerate neighbours and visitors to those who live and work in the areas we visit.

If you witness any form of anti-social, abusive or discriminatory behaviour, crime, vandalism, violence, the use of smoke bombs or pyrotechnics close to you at any of our matches, please act immediately by bringing this to the attention of the nearest steward who will do their best to resolve the problem at source. Alternatively, you can send a text to 87474 with; FOUL (language & behaviour); RACISM (Racist chanting & shouting); HPH (Homophobic chanting); DRINK (Drinking alcohol in view of the pitch); SMOKE (Smoking in the stadium); STAND (Standing up); PYRO (use of or intended use of any pyrotechnic or smoke bomb), along with your location and the location of the offence – Block, Row, Seat.

Retail details

Official Club merchandise will be available to purchase from a host of retail outlets including the official Wembley store and kiosks both inside and out the stadium at Saturday's match against Swansea.

All One Hotspur members will receive a 10 per cent discount in all locations when they show their membership card - including our new Nike dark purple third strip, characterised by a dazzle camo, unveiled this week.

Shirt printing will also be available in our main Wembley store.

We strongly urge fans seeking to purchase Club merchandise on matchdays to do so only from the clearly marked Official Tottenham Hotspur Retail units around the stadium, the official Wembley Store or the retail kiosks within the stadium.

We are aware of unofficial Club products being sold around Wembley on matchdays and such items are likely to be made from inferior materials, failed to have had the appropriate health and safety testing carried out and are unlikely to have followed the acceptable manufacturing codes of conduct.

Official Tottenham Hotspur products will always feature one or a combination of official labels, tags and holograms. In addition, the words ‘Official Merchandise’ should be present on the packaging or label.

Toilets at Wembley

Wembley Stadium will be ensuring that all toilets inside the stadium and on the external concourses will be opened up after the match. Additionally, in collaboration with Brent Council there will be a number of event day toilets deployed across the local area so we ask all fans to show respect for the local area and its community by utilising these.

There will be four event day toilet locations for Saturday’s fixture and we will update supporters should any of these locations change for future home fixtures:

1.    South Way at the junction with First Way - on the pavement adjacent to the electrical sub-station (4 units).
2.    Wembley Hill Road near the junction with Park Place on the North Western corner of the green open space (4 units).
3.    South Way immediately West of the Red Car Park exit  - on the grass verge adjacent to the disused car park ramp (6 units), and
4.    Olympic Way near the junction with Fulton Road - on the pedestrian walkway adjacent to Curry’s (10 units + 1 disabled access unit)
