Darren Anderton seeks to further his claims for a place in Sven Goran Eriksson's England World Cup squad this weekend when struggling Leicester City visit White Hart Lane in this crucial FA Barclaycard Premiership encounter.

Anderton will be hoping to prove he is worth a start in the forthcoming friendly international against Holland after Eriksson saw him impress in Spurs' comfortable midweek FA Cup win over Bolton.

The Londoners' longest-serving player opened the scoring when he rammed home from the penalty spot after Anthony Barness impeded him. Anderton also teed up Steffen Iversen for the second with a lovely lofted ball from the right and Trotters goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen could only palm his stinging drive into the path of Matthew Etherington for Spurs' third.
