2014 Hugo Lloris makes his 50th Premier League appearance. We draw 1-1 at Hull where Paulinho scores.

1928 Winger Tommy Harmer born in Hackney. Known as ‘Harmer the Charmer’ he started out with us as a junior and went on to play over 200 senior Spurs games.

1979 Winger Tony Galvin makes his Spurs debut at home to Manchester City.
2010 A hat-trick for Jermain Defoe in our 3-1 FA Cup replay win at Leeds.
4 THURSDAY
1990 Gary Lineker scores three – one from the penalty spot – as we beat Norwich City 4-0 in Division One at the Lane. We finish third that season.
2004 We get ourselves 3-0 up at half-time against 10-man Manchester City in our FA Cup replay – but lose 3-4!
5 FRIDAY
1927 Our home First Division game with Sunderland is the first featuring Spurs to be broadcast on BBC Radio. Unfortunately we lose 2-0.
2002 We knock Bolton out of the FA Cup at the fourth round stage, winning 4-0 at the Lane.

1965 Ron Henry scores his one and only goal for the club – the winner at home to eventual champions Manchester United.
1982 We mark the official opening of the West Stand with a 6-1 win over Wolves. Ricky Villa scores a hat-trick (one of his shots is pictured, above, beating Wolves goalkeeper Paul Bradshaw).

1891 We beat Orion Gymnasium 7-1 in the Middlesex Senior Cup. If you were there can you let us know the names of our goalscorers?
1935 Wales international and ‘Double’ winner Cliff Jones born in Swansea. Happy birthday, Cliff!

Anton Walkes’ 19th birthday.
1958 Both teams and the crowd stand silently in the pouring rain in memory of the Busby Babes following the Munich air crash two days before our home game with Manchester City. Bobby Smith then scores a hat-trick in our 5-1 win.
2003 A 4-1 home win over Sunderland who go down as the division’s bottom club at the end of the season.

1898 We beat Sussex 2-1 at Hove in a friendly with Tom Meade and Jimmy Hartley on target.
2014 Emmanuel Adebayor’s 65th minute goal gives us a 1-0 home win over Everton.

1986 A brace from Clive Allen (pictured, above) as we beat a Jersey Select XI 7-0 in St Helier.
1990 David Howells and Gary Lineker on target in our 2-1 win at Chelsea.

1907 We finally knock Blackburn Rovers out of the FA Cup after a second replay in round two. We also needed three games to eliminate Hull City in the first round – and then got hammered 4-0 at Notts County in the third!
2012 Louis Saha scores twice in a 5-0 home triumph over Newcastle United.
12 FRIDAY
1944 Wartime league guest player Jack Rowley scores seven times in our 8-1 Football League South win at Luton Town.
1966 Three goals for Alan Gilzean as we beat Burnley 4-3 at the Lane in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

1897 We entertain our future ‘nursery’ club Northfleet in the Southern League and win 5-0. Bob ‘Topsy’ Clements bags three.
1915 Goalkeeper John Eadon makes his league debut for us at Middlesbrough. We lose 7-5!

1902 Winger Alan Haig-Brown makes his debut at home to West Ham United. The former public schoolboy and Corinthians player retains his amateur status, going on to make just three more Southern League appearances for us.
2011 We enjoy a famous single goal victory over AC Milan at the San Siro in the Champions League.
16 TUESDAY
1957 Third Division Bournemouth knock us out of the FA Cup with a 3-1 triumph at Dean Court. We finish second in Division One that season.
1999 We book our place in the League Cup Final with a single goal win at Wimbledon following a 0-0 home draw. Steffen Iversen nabs the vital goal.
17 WEDNESDAY
1898 John Cameron appointed Spurs boss and goes on to become one of the most important figures in our history.
2001 We beat Stockport County 4-0 in the fifth round of the FA Cup. Simon Davies (pictured, below) scores twice.

1924 The Prince of Wales attends our game with Oxford University at White Hart Lane, played in aid of the local hospital named after him.
1961 A crowd of 65,474 watches our cup tie at Villa. We win 2-0.

1977 Northern Ireland international Gerry Armstrong scores his first Spurs goal – but we lose 2-1 at Leeds. We would be relegated at the end of the season.
2012 A disappointing goalless FA Cup fifth round draw at Stevenage.
20 SATURDAY
1904 We are losing 1-0 at home to Villa in the cup when a pitch invasion forces the game to be abandoned. As a punishment, the game is replayed at Villa Park – where we win by the only goal!
1940 Our record goalscorer Jimmy Greaves born at East Ham. Happy birthday Jim! We continue to wish you well.

1989 Nayim (pictured, below) makes his debut at home to Norwich. We win 2-1 with goals from Geordie duo Paul Gascoigne and Chris Waddle.
