October's Hotspur - OUT NOW!

Scott Parker leads the way in the latest, packed issue of our official magazine Hotspur, out now!

There is no doubt Scott Parker will be an England international for many years to come.

True there is a good deal of competition but with new arrival Parker in the form of his life, few can doubt his claim to a regular place in the current Three Lions side.

Yet one interesting statistic in Parker’s career file is the unique fact that he won his first four England caps while playing for four different clubs.

It shows how Scott has grown in stature from an international perspective. Any doubts about his pedigree are long gone as he sets his sights on upping his appearances tally from the meagre eight caps that he currently holds.

However, Parker is a man who knows that good club form is the only springboard to the England squad. And from that perspective, Harry Redknapp’s side will be the main beneficiary.

In the October issue of Hotspur magazine, Parker agrees that playing alongside the talents of Luka Modric will enhance his own development even more.

“I’ve been looking forward to that,” agrees Scott. “He has always been one of the most difficult opponents I’ve played against.

“Top four? Why not? I look at the quality here and there’s no doubt that we should be challenging. I am at an important stage in my career and feel that I can establish myself at this fantastic club.”

Read the full interview in the latest issue of Hotspur, our official monthly magazine, where one lucky reader will win Scott's signed Spurs shirt in our free-to-enter competition.

Parker’s fellow new signing Emmanuel Adebayor is also featured and is confident that the belief Redknapp has already shown in him will lift him to an even higher level.

“I’m at a club where everyone has confidence in me, everyone trusts me, everyone knows what I am capable of doing, which is important for me,” he says. “Now it’s up to me to show them that they are not wrong.”

There is a special update on our new training centre while other players under the spotlight include Ledley King, Ronny Rosenthal and Chris Perry.

Our former Sixties centre-half Maurice Norman proved so popular with readers last month that he’s back again to answer questions ranging from 2-3-5 formations, Harry Redknapp, Danny Blanchflower, Michael Dawson, Dave Mackay, heavy pitches…and how much was in his pay packet in the week that we won the Double!

Actor Ed Speelers tells us why he loves Spurs, Ossie Ardiles pays a special tribute to Steve Perryman, we present our own Europa League focus and catch up with Garry Brooke who recalls the nightmare car crash that all but ended his blossoming Spurs career.

'Daws' takes on our ‘High Fives’ challenge, looking back at a family holiday in a caravan at Scarborough and the day that he asked Steve Stone for his autograph.

It’s all in the October issue of Hotspur – out now!
