Three young people from our local community received a work experience opportunity of a lifetime when the NFL came to London recently.
Aaliyah Abdirahman, Ramel Benjamin and Wasim Islam all got to work in ticketing operations at the three Internationals Series matches held at Wembley and Twickenham thanks to the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Pre-Apprenticeship programme run in partnership with StubHub.
Our close links with NFL, which will see matches played at our new stadium, meant the trio got to grips with a different sporting culture to what they are used to, as well as valuable work experience.
Aaliyah said: “It was great meeting lots of different people, including those from the USA, and developing my customer service skills. I volunteer on a matchday at Spurs sometimes but this was a brilliant experience to be around a totally different sport and its fans.”
