Mabbsy welcomes Carry On star to Wembley

Gary Mabbutt welcomed much-loved actor Leslie Phillips to Wembley ahead of our match against Swansea City last week.

Leslie, who was born in Tottenham in 1924, is famous for his role in the Carry On films and is a life-long Spurs fan. 

This was the first home game Leslie had attended in a number of years, having suffered a stroke in August, 2014. 

Joined by members of his family, Leslie reminisced about the last time he was at White Hart Lane where the team played Swansea during the 2012-13 season.

Mabbsy surprised Leslie pitchside before kick-off and presented the actor with a personalised shirt.
