The lads paid a visit to one of China's most significant cultural landmarks on Tuesday.

Harry Redknapp and his coaching team joined the squad in making the short trip from our hotel in Beijing to Tiananmen Square.

The Tiananmen Gate (translated 'Gate of Heavenly Peace') was originally built here in 1417 and the square, which covers 100 acres, is now the largest open-urban square in the world.

As well as the Tiananmen Gate - pictured below, with a huge portrait of Chairman Mau at the entrance - Tiananmen Square is the location for the Mao Mausoleum, the final resting place of Chairman Mau, the leader of the People's Republic of China from 1949 until his death in 1976.

You can also find the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Great Hall of the People and the Qianmen Gate, formerly the front gate of the inner city, part of the ancient city of Beijing.
