Kasey's call

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Kasey Keller insists that if the second half performance against Birmingham City on Saturday can be taken into next weekend's home encounter with Leeds United then points should soon be on the board.

After a first half in which Birmingham took the lead through a disputed David Dunn penalty, Spurs came to life in the second period and had the home side pinned back for long spells - going close to scoring through Robbie Keane and Bobby Zamora.

Kasey feels that this was a good sign for the forthcoming challenges.

"I am just really happy - the attitude in the second half was impeccable," stated the goalkeeper. "I was a bystander for 95 per cent of it and that is fantastic.

"We created some good chances and got a little bit unlucky. You are looking at a team whose bread and butter is working and hassling teams - we did it to them. In the second half they couldn't get a thing together, we just pinned them in and managed to play around that.

"It is a fantastic attitude, now we got to keep that and turn it into points."

Kasey added that - despite the dubious penalty call - the team must now begin to make their own luck and turn good play into goals and points.

"It was an unlucky day - forget luck, now it is time to go out and earn everything we get. It's close, real close.

"There were a lot of good things there and I thinking it is time to turn good things into points. It will get better, but the foundation is there and it is time to kick on."
